COTTON IS ROTTEN
54% MERINO WOOL // 42% NYLON // 4% SPANDEX // PROUDLY 0% COTTON
It’s not just the materials, it’s the construction.
- We reinforced the high-wear areas in the toes and heels with extra NYLON to reduce friction and add toughness.
- The sock body is optimized with more MERINO to breathe better so your feet stay dry longer.
MERINO WOOL
Merino wool is durable, soft on the skin and won’t itch like traditional wool.
Merino wool is breathable and regulates body temperature, even when wet.
NYLON
Nylon is one of the strongest, most durable synthetic fibers available. There’s a reason our rucksacks are built out of CORDURA®.
We use fine nylon fiber with excellent abrasion resistance, which also helps to reduce friction and prevent blisters.
Spandex
Spandex aka elastane is the industry standard for stretch and durable elasticity.
The right ratio of spandex maintains the shape and fit for the life of the sock without compromising durability.
POLYPROPYLENE
Polypropylene is lightweight, breathable, and sweat-wicking.
This was added to the composition of our Merino Wool socks so that they don't hold as much heat when you're on the move. This is especially helpful in those areas that are prone to blistering.
UNCONDITIONAL SCARS LIFETIME GUARANTEE
Proudly overbuilt in the USA, and backed by our Scars Lifetime Guarantee. And if you somehow find a way to wear them out, we’ll send you a new pair, and the next time you’re in Jacksonville, we’ll buy you a beer and invite you to HQ so you can tell us all about how you did the impossible.
PADDING WHERE YOU ACTUALLY NEED IT
We got sick of wearing out other socks so we added more padding along the heel and ball of the foot. The heel padding is extended up to the achilles to give you cushion where you actually need it when rucking in mid-top boots like the MACV series or shoes like the Mackall.
FITS RIGHT, EVEN AFTER ALL THE MILES AND ALL THE DAYS
Extended arch support and a natural fit through the ankle and calf makes for a comfortable sock that’s not too tight and doesn’t slip over time and distance. These socks maintain their shape wear after wear.
WEAR OFTEN, WASH SPARINGLY
Merino wool naturally resists bacteria and fights stink. Wear as often as you want without having to wash ‘em after each use. Saving you both water, and time.
“You will never pass Special Forces training if you don’t learn how to take care of your feet.”
This was 2004 and my interest in socks, and footcare, became an obsession right then and there.
