JOIN US IN SAN DIEGO NOVEMBER 8 - 10

THROUGH THE SAME GATES AS THE LEGENDS

You get to storm the same beaches and climb the same peaks as our Marine Corps Special Operations Forces (MARSOF) do in their training. These are hallowed grounds where your Cadre will dive deep into their history and lineage, and we will always Honor the Fallen together.

When you successfully complete your event, your Cadre will hand you a cold beer and a patch that will never be for sale.

RECON RAIDER HEAVY

FRIDAY November 8, 2024

The GORUCK Challenge is our flagship and original team building event - we’ve led over 10,000 since 2010. The Heavy is the pinnacle GORUCK Challenge. You need to train hard with a rucksack and a sandbag prior to showing up. Not so that we can test you as an individual, but so that you can better serve your team.

The weight will be heavy, the distance will be long, and there is no way to get through this without the people to your left and the people to your right. That requires a mindset forged through adversity in dedication to something greater than yourself. This is a life changing event, a rite of passage where you will learn about yourself under conditions of physical and mental stress. You’ll learn about leadership and teamwork and you get to take that back with you to your daily life.

This should NOT be your first GORUCK Event.

Heavy: The ultimate team event. 24 hours. 40+ miles.

  • Time: 6:00pm
  • Start Point: San Onofre State Beach Cristianitos Rd Fallbrook, CA  92028

The OG GORUCK Event that we’ve executed in thousands of cities worldwide since 2010. This Tough Challenge is not for everyone. You need to train hard with a rucksack and a sandbag prior to showing up. Not so that we can test you as an individual, but so that you can better serve your team.

The weight will be heavy, the distance will be long, and there is no way to get through this without the people to your left and the people to your right. Strangers at the beginning are a team by the end. This is a life changing event, a rite of passage where you will learn about yourself. You’ll learn about leadership and teamwork and you get to take that back with you to your daily life.

RECON RAIDER BASIC

Sunday, November 10, 2024

The GORUCK Challenge is our flagship and original team building event - we’ve led over 10,000 since 2010. At your Basic, you’ll have some team building fun organized by your Cadre. You will stay with your class from start to finish, you’ll ruck some miles and really get to know the other participants as you become a team.

This Basic Challenge is more rigorous than the Light, but still an introduction to our way of life and accessible to all who want to join a tight-knit community of ruckers all over the world and have fun doing it. We recommend some rucksack training prior — all who do are encouraged to show up. If the weight gets too heavy, your team is there to help.

Heavy: The ultimate team event. 24 hours. 40+ miles.

RECON RAIDER HTB

November 8 - 10, 2024

The Heavy-Tough-Basic event, also known as HTB, is a GORUCK event that involves completing three challenges over a weekend.

The challenges are:

  • Heavy: The ultimate team event. 24 hours. 40+ miles.
  • Tough: The original team building challenge. 10-12 hours,15-20 miles.
  • Basic: Not too light, not too tough.  4-5 hours, 5-6 miles.

Participants who complete all three challenges earn the coveted HTB patch.

CADRE CLEVE

Serving just shy of ten years in the United States Marine Corps, Cleve served at all three Reconnaissance Battalions before making his way to 1st Force Reconnaissance Company. Cleve served on four combat deployments and has led Marines in Iraq, Afghanistan, in and around the Horn of Africa and Southeast Asia. Out of service, Cleve spends his free time traveling the world with his wife and kids and supporting combat veterans that battle from the war within. Cleve is the brains behind the Recon Raider HTB, a series of events that pays homage to Marine Special Operations done every Fall near San Diego.

CADRE POG

Cadre Pog (pronounced “pawdge”) is a retired Marine Raider sniper and semi-professional pirate with a rebellious streak, which has often landed him in time-out. He enjoys fitness and food; not necessarily in that order and sometimes accentuated with local beverages. The key to his heart is Celtic punk music and Guiness, or maybe Tequila depending on the time of day. Nobody is really sure, but he also loves slinky’s for some reason. We think he was abused with one as a child. We prefer not to ask. Just be prepared for shenanigans.

CADRE JC

JC hails from Michigan and now has roots in the ATL. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1997 and retired in 2018. JC served in Force Recon and Marine Special Operations Command during his 20-year career. He served on 8 deployments overseas with 6 of those in a combat zone from Iraq, Afghanistan, AFRICOM, and an unknown destination. JC has one piece of advice…don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.
