BASIC RUCKER™

Streamlined for speed, designed for comfort while rucking. The perfect rucksack for Ruck or Die, a grueling 12+ mile ruck shuffle, where you only want the essentials, and you want the weight to ride high and tight on your back to reduce sideways movement and remove friction points.

Add a 10, 20, or 30 LB Ruck Plate® to the elevated pocket inside, cinch it down on your back, take the first step, then another. Move with purpose, pump some blood flow through your heart, then some more, and challenge yourself to move a little faster.

Sizing note: 14L is reduced in height by 2”. If you’re 5’10” or under, go with the 14L. The goal is for this rucksack to take up less (not more) real estate on your back. When worn right, it feels like an extension of your back, almost like it's not even there. Till you really get going, that is, and that's the goal.

The Basic Rucker® features an elastic side pocket designed to fit slim water bottles. On longer rucks, you can clip your hydration bladder to the internal D-ring and use the hydration port for extra water, meaning you can go farther and recover better.

Ruck Plate® Compatible

Comfortably carry a standard-length 10, 20, or 30lb Ruck Plate® (or a 20+10), as well as any other gear, water, or layers you may need on your ruck. The weight sits high and tight on your back, which is important as you increase your distance and load as you get stronger.

"I've only used it a couple of times but for what you pay, you don't get a lot compared to other bags. Adding a sternum strap would be a nice addition to help the bag feel more secure during runs. Also, the pocket on the side only fits a very small water bottle. The build quality is very nice and it's comfortable."

"Used the Basic Rucker 4x a week for the last four months. First half at 20 lbs, second at 30 lbs. A great beginner rucker, stripped down only for the essentials. Dropped to four stars as you lose comfort when moving up to 30 lbs. If you keep this to 20 lbs, it will fit like a dream. Moving up to a 5. 0 and 40 lbs soon, will keep the Basic Rucker set with 20 lbs for lighter days."

Got Rucked

"Basic Rucker is not basic. Great quality in material and build that held up in over 50 miles of rucking in just neighborhood walks. Added a water bladder where the basic Rucker has an opening for the hose to pull through for longer rucks. Backpack straps are strong, sturdy and make you develop tough skin to hold up the weight. The weight is snug in the built in pocket and I have never had to adjust it or felt it move as I ruck. Good stuff and if you are a beginner this is a great product to start."

After 50ish miles, they’re okay…

"Nothing fits everyone 100%. This fit me, @ 6’2” &240lbs, it was the 17L size Basic, but was a bit long for my 5’6” wife. It was the only option available for the entry level price of $95 plates included. I’m 70 and often RUCK 5-10 miles with 30-50lbs. I carried that weight in an “armor plate carrier” and it was nice because the weight was carried straight down. While I’m limited to 30lbs in the plate pocket, I have an additional 10lbs in other gear on my body and, if the straps were a bit more padded, it’d be really nice. We went and got seatbelt covers and that helps a bit. We have about 50 miles total on them at this point and, my summation to this point is…. . they’re okay. They are well put together but, for the price of them, I kinda expected that."

Great quality ruck!

"Works great the pack stays close on your back so you don't have any weird shoulder or back issues on longer rucks. I've put about 50 miles on it so far, only issue I've had is for me the left strap has been digging so hard into my arm that it starts to go numb. I've loosened it a bit but still needs more adjustment. Either way great purchase super durable and I can pull a weight out if my wife wants to use it."

Worth every penny

"I can’t say enough good things about this pack. I got the ranger green and love it. It looks better than it does in the pictures. It is sturdy and very well made. I started rucking about 6-7 months ago and used my camera bag, putting a dumbbell in the center slot where I’d have my long lens. Eventually I moved on to my Osprey Daylite 13L hiking pack, using a towel to wrap my ruck plate in and lift it up a bit. Then it was time to invest a real ruck pack. I’m so glad I did. The pack fit great immediately (I’m a 5”5” female). I cinch the straps up high and tight and the difference between this and my hiking pack is night and day. It’s truly worth it to get a proper rucksack. The only suggestion I have is to make the side pockets a little bigger. They’re too small for a water bottle, though this is fine with me. I always carry mine in my hand, anyway. Thank you for making this outstanding product! Highly recommend."
