The Aviator’s Kit Bag is used on all Airborne flight operations (jumping out of planes or helos). Special Forces and other units started using the Aviator’s Kit Bags as travel bags, pilot flight bags, and deployment bags because of the large opening at the top, which is plenty big enough to comfortably allow body armor to fit inside.
Our 32L Kit Bags are inspired by classic aviator's kit bags, which are also used by Special Forces teams to transport a small army’s worth of gear (per person). We've modernized the aviator's kit bag and added functionality not for jumping out of airplanes, but for daily use, travel, and storage.
For Specs + Materials, we chose the strongest possible duck canvas with a waxing process proven over the last 170 years, giving the Kit Bag a retro canvas look with the durability you'd expect.

Awesome and what I was looking for
"I haven't had an opportunity to use my new waxed canvas kit bag, but man this bag is beautiful and just what I was looking for. It has character and perfect for a mature guy like me (old). It has rugged and classic written all over it. And of course the normal Goruck quality can't be beat. I will also add that I had a kit bag in the cordura and the I loved the bag, the shoulder strap was a little slick and would slide off my shoulder, for some reason the waxed canvas version does seem to do it as easily."
